Our premium EVOO, Anfora, is produced locally by farmers on small plots, each averaging less than 10 acres. These lands surround the Medieval hilltop village of Ficulle, and have been producing prized olive oils since Etruscan times.
The Extra Virgin Olive Oil we produce in Umbria is famous for its bold and rich flavor profile, coupled with a strong acidity and a distinct fruity aroma.
Since Etruscan times the olive oil produced locally was transported and sold in a particularly shaped amphora, this shape was a way of marketing the oil and as a way to recognize its provenance. It is for this reason we have taken this Anfora as our symbol, to connect our oil, and land, to our ancestors, and thus recreating a marker of quality and provenance in the same way they did.
